1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by Surplus Research (“we,” “us,” “our”) at www.surplus-research.com (the “Website”) and any related services, products, or content (collectively, the “Services”).
By using our Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our Website, you consent to our privacy practices.

3. Ownership and Rights

All text, images, graphics, product designs, and software on this Website (“Surplus Research Content”) are owned by Surplus Research or its licensors.

  • Transmit malware, spam, or attempt unauthorized access.

  • Use the Website for resale or commercial activity without authorization.

5. Product Terms

(a) Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Surplus Research reserves the right to limit quantities, cancel, or refuse orders for any reason, including suspected fraud or unauthorized resale.

(b) Pricing

All prices are in U.S. dollars (USD) and subject to change without notice. Taxes, duties, and shipping fees are the buyer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.

(c) Shipping & Fulfillment

Orders are fulfilled from Hong Kong. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to the buyer once items are handed to the carrier.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or delays that are beyond our control.

Note: Surplus Research operates and fulfills all orders from Hong Kong. Customers are responsible for any import duties or taxes applied by their respective countries.

(d) Returns and Cancellations

All sales are final.
No returns, exchanges, or cancellations are accepted once an order is placed, except as required by law or covered under warranty.

6. Limited 1-Year Warranty

Surplus Research warrants eligible products against defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the purchase date by the original buyer.

If a product is found defective within this period, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product,

  • Replace it with the same or equivalent model, or

  • Refund the original purchase price.

Warranty Exclusions

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, modifications, or normal wear and tear.

  • Purchases from unauthorized resellers.

  • Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect performance.

Warranty service requires proof of purchase and may require the product’s return for inspection.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Website, Services, and Products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Surplus Research makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

Surplus Research shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of our Website or Products.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Surplus Research, its affiliates, and staff from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Website.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, power outages, or government restrictions.

11. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

All disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) rules.
You waive any right to a jury trial or class action.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect once posted on the Website.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Website, or any Surplus Research products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Hong Kong.
